The Scottish Club Championship started on Saturday night (8th May) and will continue each Saturday night at the Lake of Menteith until August. The top team was Kevin McCabe, Andy Dunn and Jock Kettles of Change Fly Fishers 'A'. All three had limit bags and their 15 x fish weighed in at 22lb 05oz. In second place was Derek Marklow, Angus Armour and Graham Steele of Loanhead & District AC and they had 10 x fish for 17lb 12oz. In third place was B Shepherd, W Wilson and G Donnelly of Craufurdland Fly Fishers 'B' who had 11 x fish for 17lb 7oz. These three teams will go through to the semi final. Derek Marklow had the heaviest basket and the heaviest fish which weighed in at 4lb 5oz. Bottles of the 'Famous Angler' courtesy of the 'Famous Grouse' were presented for the top team team, heaviest basket and heaviest fish.
The Change Fly Fishers team caught their fish on the Road Shore fishing diawl bachs and buzzers on midge tip and slow glass lines.

D MacKenzie (4 fish), George Mathieson (5 fish) and R Wilmanski (3 fish) representing CSSA (Rosyth) were second and John Watt (5 fish), G MacLeod (2 fish) and Brian Munro (4 fish) representing Dunfermline Rusty Nail took the third spot.

Scottish Club Championship Heat 5 - Saturday 5th June 2010
Grizzlecats 'A' won the 5th heat of the Scottish Clubs with Strathgryfe second and Kinglassie third. These three teams go through to the first semi final. Kinglassie had 7 trout for 14lb 8oz; Strathgryfe had 10 trout for 16lb 7oz and Grizzlecats 'A' had 12 trout for 21lb 12oz. The Grizzlecats team consisted of Alan Hill (5 trout for 10lb 10oz), Andy Boylan (2 trout for 3lb 5oz) and Tom Wilson (5 trout for 7lb 13oz). The Grizzlecats trout were caught on floating lines using diawl bachs and a mix of claret and red dries in the Butts and at the Mallin Shore.
Three trout over 4lb were caught and for the purposes of the competition these were capped at 4lb. Sandy Ramsay (Pentland FF) had the heaviest trout at 6lb 4oz.

Heat 6 - Saturday 12th June 2010
The 6th heat was won by Ferry Fly Fishers 'B' with 15 trout for 29lb 2oz. Their team of Andrew Glasgow (5 trout for 9lb 14oz), Findlay Meechan (5 trout for 9lb 13oz) and Gordon Fisher (5 trout for 9lb 7oz) all had limit bags which were taken along the line of buoys in Cages Bay.
The heaviest basket on the night was Peter Auchterlonie (St Fillans & Lochearn) who had 5 trout for 10lb. Andrew Glasgow had the heaviest fish at 6lb 10oz which for the purpose of the competition was capped at 4lb.
St Fillans & Lochearn were second overall with 15 trout for 25lb 10oz and again their team (Peter Auchterlonie, George Whyte and Ronnie Gilbert) all had limit bags. Rothes Oak filled the 3rd spot with 14 trout for 25lb 9oz being pipped for second by 1oz.

Heat 10 - Saturday 10th July 2010
Sixteen teams contested heat 10 on a cold and wet evening. The rain started to fall as they went out and continued for most of the evening with the majority of the boats coming in well before the 10.30pm finishing time. Almost all of the boats spent the evening in Gateside Bay with the others in the Rookery or along the Malling Shore.
Thack AC with 12 trout for 25lb 10oz were the top team on the night and the team members John Miller (5 fish for 12lb 7oz), D O'Hare (4 fish for 7lb 12oz) and Andy Anderson (3 fish for 5lb 7oz) took their fish with cormorants on floating lines in Gateside Bay.
Canmore AC (Forfar) were close behind in second with 11 trout for 19lb 15oz and Clan Chiefs were third with 11 trout for 19lb 4oz.
John Miller (Thack) had the heaviset fish at 4lb 2oz.
