Autumn International
Lake of Menteith
12th September 2025
Scotland took the gold medal at the autumn international by two fish from England. The 2025 Autumn International was held at Menteith on 12th September and the four teams had to contend with a day of squally showers and hard fishing. The fishing had been difficult for the whole week and a low catch on match day was anticipated. The teams wish to thank the boatmen who gave up their day to control the boats and the staff at Menteith who were supportive throughout the week.
During the match it was difficult to assess which team was likely to come out on top and as the boats came in the managers did a quick tally which revealed that it was going to be a tight result. England were first to weigh-in with 42 trout for 110lb 9.3oz but had to settle for second place behind Scotland's 44 fish for 115lb 1.5oz. Ireland took third place with 38 fish for 101lb 8.4oz with Wales in fourth with 31fish for 80lb 14.3oz.
